Voice Actor Genevieve Baer is the Announcer for Regions Bank for a Second Year

December 10, 2025 by GenevieveBaer

Announcer Voice Over for Regions Bank

I am have had the pleasure of voicing the various TV and Radio commercial campaigns for Regions Bank all throughout 2025.

I auditioned and booked this voice over gig in January of 2025 and was booked at various points throughout the year to voice additional spots.

Regions tag line is “Extra is our Ordinary at Regions” and my voice over delivery is meant to convey confidence, warmth, and trustworthiness.

It’s been an absolute pleasure working with the creative team this past year.

Another Year with Regions Bank

That said, I’m so pleased to announce that Regions had renewed all of the spots I voiced for them this past year through 2026!

This is almost more meaningful than booking the original gig as it’s a huge vote of confidence from the the folks at Regions that they like working with me and like what I deliver.

Below is just one of the many TV commercial spots I voiced for them this year:

Genevieve Baer Provides the Bold, Sultry, Announcer Voice Over for Wingers!

October 14, 2025 by GenevieveBaer

A New Food Voice Over Campaign

I love food. I love eating. I love going out to eat with friends and family. And I really love voicing food and restaurant spots!

So I was overjoyed when I was asked to be the Announcer Voice for Wingers Restaurant and Alehouse!

This gig came to me via a recommendation from previous clients of mine–which is always the best. Not only did I not need to audition for it, but it means that those previous clients think highly of me and my work.

An Evolving Brand

I have been voicing the TV, Radio, and Digital campaigns for Wingers all year now and the sound and tone of the spots have evolved over time.

At first, I was directed to provide a voice over that sounded upbeat, excited, and inviting.

Over time, the tone and message have become more sultry, gritty, edgy, and sexy.

I love this new direction as I believe that it helps convey the indulgence and deliciousness of the food as well as stand out from the slew of other restaurant advertisements.

The Latest Wingers Restaurant and Alehouse Commercial

Below is one of the latest spots I recorded.

I love the rocker edge to the VO, the music, and the imagery.

Dare I say, this is the CHEESIEST commercial voice over I’ve ever recorded??? 😜 🧀

A Travel Rig for a Professional Voice Actor

June 10, 2025 by GenevieveBaer

Providing High-quality Voiceovers while away from The Home Studio

Ask a dozen different voiceover artists about travel rigs and you’ll get a dozen different opinions. From what exactly is the best set-up to whether to travel with one at all, there are so many differing opinions out there.

And like most things in life: there really is no “right answer”. It’s all about what works for you.

Twenty Years in the Making

It only took me about 20 years to start traveling with voiceover equipment! I really do not travel very often so, for a long time, I felt strongly about being able to actually take a few days away from work and be more present with my travelling companions.

However, my career as continued to grow and the need to have a way to serve my clients or submit important auditions became more and more evident.

An Unusual Result

To my surprise, I have found that–by bringing a voice over set-up with me on the road–it’s actually allowed me to be more present and relaxed. Knowing that I have equipment should I need it has released me from my guilt of being away from the studio.  I have found myself more relaxed and free from the resentment of “missing out”.

The “Best” Voice over Travel Rig

Again, there is no “right” opinion on the best equipment to bring and a thousand different variables that affect that answer. Questions like:

  • how are you travelling (by car, plane, etc)?
  • how much luggage are you taking?
  • Where will you be staying and what is the environment like?
  • Are you planning on recording voice over jobs with this rig or auditions only?

All of these questions are important to ask yourself before you decide what set-up to bring.

My Personal Voice over Travel Rig

I wanted something that could easily fit in a carry-on bag (I am allergic to checking bags at airports) and I planned to use it mostly for auditions. The microphone I use in my home studio is quite heavy and very sensitive so, for these reasons, I chose to go with a light shot-gun mic (the Synco D2) for my travel set-up. I paired that with the amazing Audio Sigma MicHero DSP audio interface (highly recommend). Then a pair of headphones and my laptop complete the set-up.

Be Honest and Transparent with Your Voice over Clients

No matter whether I am turning auditions in to my agents or recording an actual voice over job, I am always honest about being away from home and using my travel gear. I would never want to be caught in the position of booking a VO job and then having the client disappointed in the sound. For auditions, I want to be sure and point out that I am using my travel gear so that the potential client knows that this is not the sound of my wonderful home studio.

Already Paying Off in a Big Way

Choosing to travel with my voiceover gear has been the right move for me, and it’s paid off…big time! On a recent trip to Seattle, I received a last-minute email from a client asking me to record several political voice over commercial spots. The audio engineer and the client both felt comfortable with me using my travel equipment and we ended up recording seven spots…which went a long way towards paying for our trip!

My son took the picture of me below looking oh so glamorous during the session.

Ah the glamorous life of a voice actor!

Telly Award Winner for Best Commercial Voice over!

May 22, 2025 by GenevieveBaer

Telly Award for Best Commercial Voiceover awarded to voice actor Genevieve Baer!

On Tuesday morning I woke up to an exciting email in my inbox informing me that I had won a Telly Award!

The Telly Awards are a prestigious international awards program that happen every year and honor the best in Television and Video creative across all screens. They also happen to have a craft category that considers the voiceover only of the piece.

It was my first time entering and I decided to submit one of the Television commercials I voiced for US Steel. This piece, in particular, allowed me to access the textured, gritty, and authoritative part of my voice. Grounded and powerful, the voice over delivers the message without overpowering the visuals on the screen.

You can see and hear the spot HERE.

A Win in More Ways than One

One of the things that made this commercial campaign extremely gratifying was that it was never meant to be voiced by a woman at all. Considering the subject matter (the steel industry), the creatives assumed they would go with a booming male voice. They did open up the auditions to both men and women though.

And my audition changed their minds.

Power, Grit, and Authority comes in all forms

Rather than try and compete with a big, booming male voice. I decided to access my grounded authority by going in the opposite direction. After all, when a person knows their subject matter deeply and speaks with authority, they don’t really need to shout about it.

I’m so glad the creatives agreed and the result was a truly powerful and effective campaign.

A New Era for Voice over

This textured and gritty side of my vocal range has been popular lately. As creatives are beginning to recognize the strength in women’s voices more and more, there have been more and more opportunities and requests for me to deliver in this powerful tone. It’s a such a fun area to play in.

It feels authentic to who I am and just the act of allowing my voice to sit in that lower and textured end of my range, immediately grounds me to the copy and intention of the piece.

Grateful for Great Creatives

I owe endless thanks to my voice over agents at ASPVO along with the Morgan Young (writer and director) and Julie Mays and the team at IMG for production. I am so grateful for their vision and the opportunity to be a part of it!

Telly Award

UC Health Commercial Campaign

April 18, 2024 by GenevieveBaer

Commercial Campaign By Voice Actor Genevieve Baer

A couple months ago, I mentioned a very cool job in a blog post that I booked right before heading to the VOAtlanta Voiceover Conference.

I am finally able to share that the job was a commercial campaign for UC Health–specifically for their Cancer Care Center.

One of the spots was just released and I am so excited to share it here.

Standing Out in the Commercial World

There are so many TV commercials out there–we, as viewers, are inundated constantly; that is why I am particularly impressed with this campaign. I think they did such a tremendous job of creating an ad that is attention-getting, entertaining, informative, relatable, and touching.

The folks at the fabulous Coupe Studios were responsible for the stellar sound design and production. I have known this crew for many years and not only are the great people, but their work is just impressive time and time again.

Without Further Ado…

Here is the :30 spot in the campaign. I am honored to be the voice that drives home the final message.
